The training sessions are conducted by retired engineers and supervisors from reputed industries, who are masters in their respective areas.
Training is given in reading and segregation of relevant information from engineering drawings, lofting, marking and nesting preparation of production drawings for hull and piping, plate marking, plate and pipe fabrication. On the job training is provided in direct production oriented trades like manual and semi automatic gas cutting, plasma cutting, gouging, pipe and plate fit up methods, welding, plate forming, safe use of different types of workshop equipments etc. General requirements of safety at work, safety standards in rigging, scaffolding and handling of heavy items, quality control and documentation requirement associated with the job etc also form part of the training schedule.
We lay special emphasis on development of welding skills and provide professional guidance and training in welding technology. The training starts from the basics like selection and use welding electrodes and process used for joining different types of metals like mild steel, stainless steel, non ferrous metals like cupronickel, aluminum bronze etc. Training is given for improvement of skills in SAW, Sub arc, MIG and TIG, for positions 4G/6G & 6GR.
Both in house as well as on job advance training are provided to Marine mechanics, for overhauling of valves, pumps, rotating equipments and hydraulics etc. The trained personnel are placed in any one of our ongoing sites to season them with the finer aspects of work requirements at sites.
